With training as one of the key pillars in our organization, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has developed a variety of signature brand-standard training programs. In addition to an in depth Hotel Orientation when Colleagues first arrive, we offer a variety of on-the-job experiences and signature programs for Colleagues and Leaders.
Opportunities for Colleagues include participating in brand-standard programs such as Discrimination & Harassment Prevention and Train-the-Trainer, as well as training in Standard First Aid and CPR, and WHMIS. For Leaders, we have developed a signature program titled the Fairmont Fundamentals. This is an eight session program delivered over the course of two years that is specifically tailored to enhance essential leadership skills, such as garnering greater colleague engagement, managing colleague performance, and enhancing innovative thinking and decision making. Additionally, Leaders can enroll in Interaction Management, Leader's Orientation and Leader's Discrimination & Harassment Prevention training.
Beyond our in-house training, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has partnered with E-Cornell to provide our Colleagues and Leaders with an opportunity to further their education through on-line courses. Offered at a discounted rate to Fairmont employees, E-Cornell offers a variety of courses relevant to the hospitality industry in areas such as Food & Beverage, Human Resources and Accounting.![]()
