Hiking Morro Peak
A Classic Spring Time Hike
The locals hit this peak once the snow is off the ground. A classic short hike to bag a peak, some locals take it upon themselves to record their hiking time for accents. There are record times to reach the peak, but I suggest a leisurely 2 hours trek to the top.
The trail is quite well marked so you should not have any issues. There are some steep parts and a tiny scrambling. However having said that, some has been unable to peak the summit.
The views from this hike is quite spectacular when getting to treeline. The wooden cross marks the top of the peak. Also there is a log book in the rocks, not sure if it has been updated since writing of this post couple years ago.
