Backcountry campsites bear poles, pit privies, and fire boxes (where fires are permitted).

Description: The trail starts about 18 km from Jasper townsite on Maligne Road and brings you to a relatively steep climb that leads to an alpine meadow. You have to ford a small creek to reach the campsite. The elevation gain that you can expect on this trail is 985 meters and the maximum elevation will be 2375 meters. This is an over night trip. You can day trip this like we did, just give yourself the whole day to hike this trail. Contact Jasper National Park for details, maps and backcountry permits.
