The Young Novelists @ The PATH
Jan 24 @ 7:30 pm – 10:30 pm

The Hinton Performing Arts Society is excited to continue the 2018-2019 Hinton On Stage Concert series with a performance by The Young Novelists.

The Young Novelists will be performing at the West Fraser Guild (Home of the Performing Arts Theatre of Hinton) on Thursday January 24, 2019.

The Young Novelists create contemporary folk songs that marry their effortless harmonies with darkly poetic lyrics and exquisitely crafted hooks. Their third album In City & Country has been described as “a lush-sounding feast” (Penguin Eggs) and “emotional, melodic music that variously reminds me of the Jayhawks and Richard and Linda Thompson.” (No Depression). They have toured across Canada, the United States, and in Europe, often with their young son in tow. Their signature show features confessional storytelling about their songs and travels, singalongs, and the unique sound of bowed glockenspiel.

When they first met, Graydon James and Laura Spink had no idea that they would be married one day — much less touring the world together as The Young Novelists. Since the band’s inception in 2009, they’ve played stages across the U.S. and Canada, released three full-length albums, won numerous awards and continuous praise for their unmatched, effortless harmonies.

The Young Novelists are making their Hinton On Stage debut and we are pleased to bring live music to the stage at the Performing Arts Theatre of Hinton!

For more information about The Young Novelists, visit their website at http://theyoungnovelists.com/.

Tickets for this show are $25 adult, $15 student, available now at The Hinton Voice, The Wild Orchid and Hinton Municipal Library. The show starts at 7:30pm at the West Fraser Guild (Performing Arts Theatre of Hinton) with doors opening at 6:30pm. For more information, email hintononstage@gmail.com or phone/message Byron @ 780-865-0135.
