Snowshoe Mouse Hole
Snowshoeing get you around unusual places like this
The Mouse hole is what the locals call this place, obviously this area is only accessible when the conditions are right. Winter would be one of those times. In the Summer, this is a river, the Maligne river.
This location is south of Maligne Canyon hostel, but that would be a longer start zone, we popped in somewhere along the road where it starts to gain elevation way before the Two Valley Canyon. If you head in from the south end via the Two Valley Canyon, there could be log jams and open water like one of the image shows. This exploratory trip was completed in 2013, so who knows how much debris is jammed at the cave nowadays.
It is time for a revisit I think.
