Local Ski Hill

Working in the background to ensure safety.

I spend quite a bit of time here at Marmot Basin, it is just an easy place to go for some outdoor activity. I just have to give a shout out to the ski patrollers, working hard to open those runs on pow days. You guys rock!

The ski patrollers are the unsung heroes of the hill, they work tirelessly keeping the public safe. They have some fun throwing bombs to release unstable buildup, they get to ski cut runs to test stability, they install and haul snow fences, most of all, they take care of you if you are injured. So, next time you see a patroller, give them a high five and tell them they are appreciated.

Ski Patrollers

They practice evacuation drills, improve their skiing skills and most important to have some fun runs!
