Jasper is Open

I took a little rip around with my motorcycle down hwy 93 Icefield Parkway and loop back north with hwy 93a. Little rip meaning speed limit as there were local and out of town enforcement with radar setup in town and on the highways.

I found some busy spots like Old Fort Point, Valley of the Five Lakes, Horseshoe lake, Athabasca Falls were at capacity even overflowing at Valley of Five parking. The campgrounds were busy with Wapiti being full. Can’t wait till Whistlers Campground opens, rumor has it mid June.

Good news, hwy 93a is now open end to end plus moab lake road also opened up. Not sure why Fryatt/Geraldine road, Lake Beauvert road was not open. Edith Cavell road still closed till mid June?

Is Jasper going to be busy this summer? My guess is Yes, so get those reservations in as soon as you can. Good Luck.
