14 km loop for everyone to enjoy Check with Parks Canada before getting into this area as it still have wildlife conservation status in the Maligne area. Trapper Creek loop is located at Maligne Lake, you start off the trailhead of Bald Hills, and signage will be prominent so you should not get lost. There are a couple of trails along this route for all types of abilities. On this day we had a broken trail by snowshoers and skiers, it made my cross country skis doable, normally I recommend light touring gear for this trail if you choose to go for the harder loop ( Trapper Creek ), a good elevation gain pass the Moose Lake Loop. We went down the first creek that was broken with one skier before us, lots of open water which made this an adventure. I did get my socks wet but luckily did not break through.
