Wonderful nature walk with Flora & Fauna

I find September to be the best time for hikes in Jasper. The tourist traffic is low, temperature is just about right. This loop is only 3km and it is very easy to walk around with very low elevation gain. Give yourself an hour or two to enjoy the beauty on the trail, I found the flowers were still in bloom. If you are lucky, you can even see the Mary Schäffer boat go about on her daily tour.

Explore this beautifully maintained trail with all the diversity of flora and fauna. Many have spotted the Canadian Moose in this area. We spotted a Sandpiper foraging for minnows in the marsh.

On this day, we got to enjoy an industrious squirrel drying mushrooms on the branches. It was just the way it laid out the mushroom pieces all over the tree a piece at time. Does the squirrel know a wind storm will not be coming or other critters stealing his food?
