Geraldine Waterfall

Waterfall on hanging valley

The biggest error for most people that visit this for the first time is that they park their vehicles at 93a hwy and start walking up the dirt road. Mind you, motorhome are the exception, they will probably get stuck. The trailhead has parking areas for Fyratt Trail and the Geraldine Trail.

Day hike to the waterfall is about 6km from the trailhead at the end of the dirt road. Campsites are available also, see Geraldine Lakes article.

Wear some good sturdy boots, sometimes when the water is high, the trail gets flooded even at the campsites. But more so for the rock fall areas, you do not want to roll an ankle.
